Vogel Music School offers music lessons on guitar, electric bass, ukulele and mandolin for students of all ages and skill levels. Lessons can be very flexible and based on the goals and interests of the individual. We can work on anything from basic technique, chords, reading, and learning songs to more involved studies on songwriting, harmony, and soloing/improvisation, depending on your unique direction. We can also work within of a variety of styles including folk, country, rock, blues, jazz, or anything else that interests you.
In-person
In-person lessons take place at our office near the heart of downtown Palatine, Illinois. The office is a cozy space with everything we need for a productive session. The room also includes a place for parents or observers to wait comfortably during the lesson
Online
We started offering online lessons back in early 2020 out of necessity. Although there was some initial skepticism, we have found online lessons to work wonderfully! Audio and video quality is more than sufficient as long as there is a decent internet connection, and screen sharing features allow us to listen and view written music together. Although based near Chicago, Vogel Music School has clients from San Diego to New York City and everywhere in between. Even some local students occasionally use online lessons if they can't make the trip over to the studio.
